ELOPREP 102 is an automatic and programmable electrolytic polishing and etching equipment for the preparation of metallographic specimens.

The ELOPREP 102 has advanced techniques and software with programmable coloured HMI touchscreen controls, increasing productivity, sample consistency and operator comfort. All parameters; temperature, time, current, pump speed, etc. can be monitored during the process. The speed of the amount to be pumped is also variable.

ADVANCED FEATURES
- Two polishing & etching units can be operated from the same control unit. Thus, two different materials can be polished of etched at the same time without changing the electrolyte.
- Polishing & etching unit is suitable for both normal temperature and low temperature (sub-zero) polishing. No separate polishing & etching unit is required.
USER FRIENDLY
- Easy to change electrolytic container.
- Easily exchangeable masks allow the preparation of differently sized specimen areas. Additionally the masks allow monitoring the electrolytic flow.
- Optional external etching unit is available. It is often used when different electrolytes have to be used for polishing and etching.

FULLY AUTOMATIC OPERATION CYCLE
Fully automatic electrolytic polishing and etching equipment with independent control unit. Shorter preparing time is needed for electrolytic polishing and etching process compared to traditional mechanical preparation.
AUTOMATIC DETERMINATION OF VOLTAGE
With the scanning function of ELOPREP 102, correct voltage of polishing as well as etching can be defined automatically. So, you do not need to spend long time while trying to find correct voltage manually.
7" HMI TOUCH SCREEN CONTROLS
7” coloured HMI touch screen and user-friendly software allows easy view and control. All preparation parameters can be stored in memory under a specific program number and name. These parameters are entered and stored in memory and displayed on the LCD screen as preset values. All the operator needs to do is to select the mode of operation (individual or central pressure), call up a specific program and press the “Start” key.
DUAL POLISHING & ETCHING UNITS
Additional polishing and etching unit can be connected the same control unit. Thus, two polishing & etching unit can be operated individually. This is very useful feature especially for specimens which require different electrolytes for polishing and etching.
EXCHANGEABLE ELECTROLYTE CONTAINER
The electrolyte cartridge is easily exchangeable and inserted into the polishing and etching unit. If you have different specimens, which required different electrolytes, you can use additional electrolyte containers. Thus, you do not have to change electrolyte for different types of specimen, you only need to change electrolyte container.
EXTERNAL ETCHING UNIT
Optional External etching is available incase different electrolytes have to be used for polishing and etching. ELOPREP 102 will automatically start as soon as the specimen contacts to the electrolyte in the external etching unit. The process automatically shuts down when the set etching time is reached.
